About the Role
The Development Director is a key leader responsible for advancing our mission through fundraising, donor cultivation, and strategic engagement. You’ll lead a dedicated development team and collaborate with the Executive Director to drive growth through major gifts, church partnerships, corporate sponsors, events, and legacy giving. This is a unique opportunity to build upon a strong foundation and help write the next chapter of impact for a ministry transforming hundreds of lives every year.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising plan
Build and deepen relationships with major donors, churches, and foundations
Oversee legacy and planned giving strategies
Lead donor communication efforts across print, digital, and in-person platforms
Plan and manage events, capital campaigns, and donor appreciation initiatives
Analyze fundraising metrics and optimize strategies based on data
Supervise and grow a team of development professionals
Collaborate cross-functionally with program, finance, and executive teams
Represent THE POINT in the community to expand visibility and impact
*Position may be Hybrid eligible after 90 days.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
A heart for ministry and a deep commitment to Christ-centered service
A minimum four-year degree
CFRE credentials preferred
Proven success (5+ years) in nonprofit fundraising and donor development
Experience securing major gifts and managing long-term donor relationships
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
Exceptional communication and public speaking skills
Familiarity with Pennsylvania's EITC programs
Experience with donor databases (Donor Perfect preferred)
