The Mission: For 125 years, the Allentown Rescue Mission has been a beacon of hope, rescuing, rehabilitating, and restoring men in crisis. We are looking for a Client Advocate to join our team and walk alongside men as they move from the streets to self-sufficiency.
What You’ll Do: You will provide the consistent, compassionate support necessary to guide men through our three core program pillars: Emergency Shelter, Transformation Program, and Clean Team Workforce.
Case Management: Lead clients from initial intake to successful program graduation. Skill Building: Track and ensure the retention of vital life skills and workforce-readiness training. Cross-Department Coordination: Bridge the gap between our shelter, recovery, and workforce teams to ensure a seamless client journey. Outcome Tracking: Identify and document measurable metrics of success and stability. Mentorship: Act as a steady guide for men pursuing long-term housing, employment, and restoration.

Requirements
Education & Experience
Minimum associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience in case management, social services, workforce development, or residential program support strongly preferred.
Familiarity with traumainformed care, recovery principles, or homelessness services is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with men in crisis.
Ability to manage multiple cases, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
Solid organizational and timemanagement skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple program areas.
Competence in data tracking, outcome measurement, and reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain professional boundaries.
Problemsolving mindset with the ability to remain calm, compassionate, and consistent in challenging situations.
Work Expectations
Must be able to work onsite in Allentown, PA.
Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ARM’s mission, values, and code of conduct.
Flexibility to support program needs, including occasional schedule adjustments for client or departmental requirements.
