Executive Director – Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in foster care. Through advocacy, volunteer training, and partnerships, CASA ensures that every child in care has a voice in court and the support they need to thrive.
We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of Dauphin County CASA, providing strategic leadership, operational management, and external representation. The ED works in partnership with the Board of Directors to fulfill the organization’s mission, strengthen programs, and ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide visionary leadership that advances the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic and annual operating plans in collaboration with the Board.
- Cultivate a strong, inclusive organizational culture centered on compassion, equity, and accountability.
Fundraising & Development
- Lead fundraising initiatives including major gifts, grants, and partnerships.
- Maintain and expand relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners.
- Ensure effective communication of the organization’s impact to supporters and stakeholders.
Operations & Financial Management
- Oversee fiscal management to ensure financial health and sustainability.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure efficient operations, including HR, risk management, and technology systems.
Programs & Advocacy
- Oversee delivery of high-quality programs and services for foster children and families.
- Collaborate with public agencies, advocates, and community organizations to improve outcomes for youth in care.
- Represent CASA in public forums, media, and legislative settings as a key voice for foster youth.
Board Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between staff and the Board of Directors.
- Support board development, governance, and strategic engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $75,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in social work, public administration, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible nonprofit leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, strategic planning, and organizational management.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage complex budgets.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for improving outcomes for children and families impacted by foster care.
